Supporting Your Practice

Introducing the Population Health Corner: Closing care gaps and managing chronic conditions are essential to population health management to help our patients live well. Each month, we will share helpful tips to support you. Remember that summer is a great time to focus on wellness and schedule patients for vaccinations and annual visits, including Medicare Wellness Visits. Your Value-Based Care Advisor can help you identify opportunities with your patients. Learn more.

Clinical Integration updates: View the latest program updates including CKD Tobacco Use Screening and Cessation measure update and 2023 CI Incentive Summary.

Operations updates: View the latest operational updates including filing timeline for APP claims, Split Risk claims, Electronic Remittance Advice and more.

Updated guidance for COVID testing and aerosol generating procedures: With consistently low COVID levels, testing is no longer required at Advocate Health Care sites for asymptomatic patients undergoing aerosol generating procedures, such as non-invasive ventilation and bronchoscopy. However, testing and PPE requirements remain in place for symptomatic patients. View the updated FAQ and procedure guidance for details.

Simplified Provider Change form: Effective Monday, July 31, one new consolidated Provider Changes form with be used in place of the existing Demographic Change Form, Provider Resignation, Provider Leave of Absence, Change Primary PHO Designation and Change APP Practicing Specialty forms. Based on your feedback, this change saves you time and streamlines these processes. If you have questions regarding the new form or when to submit information updates, please reach out to APP Provider Relations.

Make sure you Duo this extra step: Starting today, updates are being made to our Duo two-factor authentication process to keep information safe and secure. Physicians and APCs will receive a unique code on their computer each time they log in, which they will need to enter on the app when prompted. The call-in option will be retired in the near future. Physicians and APCs should acquire a compatible device to avoid access issues to our systems. Follow these new steps when logging in.

New payment options for Meridian and Ambetter plans: While practices can still receive paper checks, new free EFT and Virtual Credit Card options can streamline your payment processes for claims. Practices currently receiving paper checks will be automatically transferred to a Virtual Credit Card unless you opt out. Learn more.
