We are thrilled to announce that St. Joseph Center has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Award—a national honor recognizing nonprofits making extraordinary contributions to their communities. Out of hundreds of applicants, we are one of only two organizations chosen to represent Los Angeles on this national stage.

This award is a tremendous acknowledgment of our work to address homelessness and poverty in our city. This award is a tremendous acknowledgment of our work to address homelessness and poverty in our city.

The Neighborhood Builders Award includes a two-year grant, which will be crucial in advancing our mission and expanding the impact of our programs. In addition, Maia Eaglin and Dr. Ryan J. Smith, will participate in the Neighborhood Builders Leadership Program in 2025, joining a powerful network of over 1,800 organizations and 3,000 nonprofit leaders across the U.S., all working to build more equitable and thriving communities.

This national recognition reflects the hard work of our frontline workers and the entire St. Joseph Center staff, whose commitment to ending homelessness and uplifting people out of poverty has driven our success. Your dedication has allowed us to be recognized at this level, and this award will further equip us to serve the most vulnerable members of our community.
