Part of the tradition includes a gift exchange game – so if you and your guests would like to participate in this fun game, please bring a gift with a minimum value of $10 that would be suitable for a man or woman. PBC Community Services Offers Air Conditioning Replacement Program to Homeowners
The crisis Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Replacement Program, through LIHEAP (Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program), is working to assist low-income Palm Beach County (PBC) homeowners in need of replacing their home’s HVAC system, with assistance of up to $15,000. This money can be used to replace their home cooling system.

An interactive tool using Google Maps to help people easily locate free food and hot meals in Palm Beach County. This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

PBC Board of County Commissioners Approves $2.5 million for Improvement of Housing Residences in BG
At the November 1, 2022 Board of County Commissioner’s Meeting, $2.5M in Infrastructure Sales Tax funding was approved for the Belle Glade Housing Authority. The Infrastructure Sales Tax Program, where $25.5M was designated for homeless, extremely low and low income housing, was approved by voters through a ballot referendum in November 2016.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.
If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last.
If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
