Storefront Treasure Hunt runs through December 11
The Third Annual Christmas by the Sea Storefront Treasure Hunt is still underway! You can download the official entry form and instructions here. Hard copies of the form can also be picked up at the Camden Chamber Office (inside and in the box to the right of the front door). Prize winners will be drawn from all correct entries received by December 11 at 5 PM. Happy Hunting for the Twelve Elves of Christmas!
Christmas By the Sea Ornaments benefit AIO Energy Assistance Program
You can still purchase 2022 Christmas By the Sea ornaments at our Camden office. At $10 each, it's the perfect gift for a colleague, a neighbor, or a stocking stuffer!

Proceeds will be donated to the Area Interfaith Outreach Energy Assistance Program. Ornaments are also on sale at Camden Public Library, Wooden Alchemy, and at the Guini Ridge Farm Christmas Market. This year's ornament was created by Rob Jones of Wooden Alchemy.
Chamber's shop local campaign, Keep the Cheer Here, heralds in the holiday season

Chamber members are invited to add a free listing on our third annual 'Keep The Cheer Here" webpage, where viewers can find details about your holiday shopping hours, your special events, links to your online shopping page, and more!

"Keep the Cheer Here" is a centralized hub for local retailers and event planners to share their holiday tidings, which the Chamber will promote via local media and social media, encouraging people to shop local and celebrate local during this holiday season.

Chamber Gala is set for February 10, 2023

United Midcoast Charities’ Annual “Day of Giving” Is December 10
United Midcoast Charities’ annual “Day of Giving” is this Saturday! Dozens of local retailers and restaurants will be donating part of the day’s proceeds to support more than 50 agencies in Knox and Waldo counties. “There are a lot of good reasons to shop locally on December 10th,” said UMC President John Viehman. “Day of Giving is a terrific way for all of us to support more than 75 local businesses while also helping those in the community who are struggling to address their most basic needs of food, housing, health and safety, and economic security.” More...

CMCA presents Artist Dialogue with Ian Trask + Dr. Aaron Rosen
On Saturday, December 10, from 2 to 3 pm, join us for a dynamic discussion between exhibiting artist, Ian Trask and Dr. Aaron Rosen as they explore themes found in Trask’s work including: the juxtaposition of improvisation and calculation, the importance of play, choreographing shadows, repetition and (eco-)systems in his practice. Dot’s Market offers live holiday music on December 18
On December 18, Alice Limoges, Bill Barnes, and Bella Barnes will return to Dot’s Market for another performance of original music, jazz, and holiday music. They will be joined by Alice’s student Abby Aldridge-Peacock. This is Alice and Bill’s third concert at Dot’s, which is run by Bella’s mom and Bill’s niece, Susie Barnes. The concert runs from 2 to 4pm on December 18th. A $20 suggested donation will be collected, but nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. In addition to their typical repertoire, Alice and Bill will perform classic holiday favorites. It’s sure to be a soul feeding afternoon! More...
