Introducing a Brand

New Roadway

A new roadway has been constructed to connect Carpenters Way with Lakeland Park Drive. The new section of road is about one-half mile in length. This new connector road provides two travel lanes, a 10’ wide shared-use path, stormwater system, street lighting, and a new intersection with Carpenters Way, which is located between Interstate 4 and the Carpenters Way historic arch.The Lakeland City Commission awarded a construction contract in the amount of $6,309,598 to QGS Development, Inc., located in Plant City, FL. Construction began June 2021 and was completed in February 2023. A second phase is planned which will connect Carpenters Way with Lakeland Park Center Drive in the vicinity of Ford’s Garage restaurant.

Vote For People's Choice Lemon Street Outdoor Sculptures

The 23^rd Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition is on display on the Lemon Street Promenade and Lakeland Public Library now through the end of 2023. The community is encouraged to vote for their favorite sculpture by visiting the People’s Choice web page.

Lakeland Linder International Airport Receives Regional Award

Lakeland Linder International Airport received the 2023 SEC-AAAE General Aviation Airfield Project of the Year Award for the construction of a new CAT III Instrument Landing System. This award is presented to a deserving airport that has completed an outstanding project during the preceding two calendar years prior to the Annual Chapter Conference.

Public Meetings Moved to Lakeland Electric Building

Due to a renovation project taking place in the City Commission Chambers, all live meetings that require broadcast and audience participation will be moved to the Lakeland Electric Building 1 A/B until Thursday, June 1.

Lakeland Flying Tigers 2023 Single-Game Tickets On Sale

Single-game tickets for the 2023 Lakeland Flying Tigers season, featuring 66 home games at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium, are on sale now at LakelandFlyingTigers.com/Tickets.

The Flying Tigers are excited to unveil several new fan experiences for the 2023 campaign.

Fans can take advantage of T-shirt giveaways at select Friday home games, including May 19 and June 9, with additional giveaway items and dates announced later this season. Following several Saturday home games, as well as on the Fourth of July, fans can enjoy a post-game fireworks display that will impress the whole family. Post-game fireworks are scheduled for May 20, June 10 and July 4.
