The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce and the Empower Her Committee are thrilled to announce that nominations are now open for the 18th Annual ATHENA Leadership Award! Presented in memory of Vanessa Y. Mintz, who brought the ATHENA program to Henderson County in 2008, honors an exceptional leader who excels in their profession, gives back to the community, and uplifts women to reach their full leadership potential.
This award is part of the work of our Empower Her Committee, which is dedicated to fostering leadership, connection, and growth for women in Henderson County. The ATHENA selection press is a reflection of these values, with judges from outside our local area spanning from neighboring counties to different states, ensuring a fair and unbiased selection of the recipient.
Nominating someone for this award is a meaningful way to recognize individuals who inspire us all. Past ATHENA Award recipients include leaders from a variety of fields who have left a lasting impact on our community. From business owners and non profit champions to government leaders and educators, these individuals embody the values of strength, courage and wisdom. The award will be presented at the Business & Professional Women's Luncheon on April 22nd.
