Recent Keelboat Class Graduates!

Congratulations to our newest Keelboat Class graduates: Tom Ambrass and Dave Buser! It's always great to spend time on the water under any excuse, but to be able to share our passion for sailing with others makes it so much better. We hope you both enjoyed the class and learned a lot. See you on the water!

PCC Sailing School Shed!

We are very excited to announce that after several months of hard labor our PCC Sailing School shed is done! HUGE THANK YOU goes to Ron Gallagher for leading the project, and his many helpers that stopped by at one point in time or another to lend a hand, few hours or nails at a time: Gene Soriano, Bill Gray, Lidia Gray, Menno Jager, Bill Boros, Randy Jayne, and others that we are probably missing on the list. The shed was made possible by earnings from sailing lessons, donations (of time, money or materials), fundraisers, merchandise sales, blood, sweat and tears, and moral support :) Thank you to all who have made this possible, we can now take better care of all of our school boats and equipment!

Babes on the Bay a great success!

This year's Babes on the Bay event was another great success! On a beautiful Saturday afternoon we gathered on the porch to discuss sailing theory, terminology, participate in our famous peanut butter sandwich team exercise and discuss plan for the day. The land session was followed by a beautiful 3-hour sail with our volunteer skippers (Pat Donnelly and Lidia Gray). We then moved on to small boats to practice capsize recovery and allow some tiller time for those who wanted to try their hand at sailing a Sunfish. All in all this was a great day, and we'd like to thank everyone who helped out in any way. We hope our guests enjoyed themselves, we sure did!

Input to our monthly newsletter is encouraged and greatly appreciated! Please email articles and photos to Heather at jager6@zoominternet.net or text photos to 814-795-7135 by the 25th of each month.
