Winter 2025 Symposium – Designing and Implementing Pragmatic Clinical Trials in Oncology

This important symposium will be held in-person in Phoenix on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 8am – 12pm MT. A new type of trial design is coming to NRG Oncology. The symposium will highlight the value of pragmatic clinical trials across oncology and include examples of trials in lung, breast, and gynecologic cancers.

NRG-GY026: Please note, the post-chemo cfDNA Whole Blood (WB03) should only be collected if the Pre-Treatment cfDNA Whole Blood (WB01) was collected.

NRG-GY031: Please note, there is an error in the section 4.2 table and the Biospecimen Collection and Submission Manual. The Part I PK collection is to be done on Cycle 1, Day 1, and Cycle 1, Day 8. This will be updated with the next amendment.

NRG-GY032/EN10: A quick reference document outlining the requirements needed for site activation of NRG-GY032/EN10 has been created for sites and posted on the CTSU website.

2. Thanksgiving Holiday Closure Information

3. Deadline Approaching: NRG Seeks to Fill the Position of Vice-Chair of the NRG NCORP Cancer Care Delivery Research (CCDR) Committee

Application Deadline: November 15, 2024

We are seeking nominations for the position of Vice-Chair of the NRG NCORP Cancer Care Delivery Research (CCDR) committee. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Mary Cooley in continuing to lead the CCDR committee. Candidates for this position should have an active program of funded research, experience in outcomes research, cancer care delivery research, health services research and/or implementation science with relevant publications. Candidates should have a track record of mentorship and a willingness to provide timely consultation to members and liaisons of NRG committees as concepts and protocols are being developed. 4. Call for NRG Oncology Theranostics Subcommittee Members The Theranostics Subcommittee, a product of collaborative efforts between the Radiation Oncology and Imaging Committees, is seeking members with recognized expertise in the field of theranostics. The application for this subcommittee has been reopened until midnight ET November 24, 2024. 

If you are interested in serving please consider applying by following the instructions in the Theranostics Application and submitting a complete application.

6. AACR Special Conference in Cancer Research

The AACR Special Conference Meeting will be held January 26-29, 2025 in San Deigo. This is the first meeting focusing on radiation and targeted therapy. The program has many oral and poster presentation opportunities from proffered abstracts in addition to presentations from experts in the field. Please encourage your faculty and trainees to submit abstracts and register for this meeting. Abstract submission is now opened. However, abstract submission is not required for attendance.
