Make a Difference Day
Lancer tradition of giving back to the community continues on October 22.
The Eighth Annual "Make a Difference Day" tradition continues with students giving back to the community through volunteer experiences. Students will meet at West Campus in the morning for breakfast, and from there, transportation will be provided to and from most projects on Saturday, October 22 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Projects this year include: landscaping and winterizing the American Legion in Roselle, clean up in the Tanglewood community, making cards and no-sew blankets for cancer patients at Phil's Friends, food packing at Kids Against Hunger, assembling Cocoa Kits at the Roselle Library, removing non-native plants and small trees at Springbrook Nature Center, visiting residents of nursing homes, and building packets for sexual assault survivors in the Sexual Violence Support Services program at the YWCA.

Get involved!
Numerous Lancer teams, groups, and classes are already signed up for Make a Difference Day. If your student would like to get involved and is not already participating through one of these groups, contact coordinators Lauren Gorey or Patryk Pliszka in the Activities Office to sign-up for individual projects.
State Spirit March and Sendoff
Lake Park's first IHSA State sendoff this school year celebrated girls golf.
On Wednesday, October 5, West Campus celebrated the first State Spirit March and Sendoff of the 2022-23 school year for two members of the Lancer Girls Golf team. Congratulations to Madison Place (12) and Marisa Lerario (11) for advancing to the IHSA Class 2A State Tournament hosted at Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur last weekend.

The Girls Golf team achieved a historic season when they captured the DuKane conference team title and advanced to the IHSA 2A Sectional Tournament as a team. This was a truly special accomplishment as it marked the first-ever girls golf team conference championship in the history of the program in any of the conferences the school has been affiliated with, including the Upstate Eight Conference (1979-2013); the DuPage Valley Conference (2013-2018); and the DuKane Conference (2018-present). The Lancers were led by junior Marisa Lerario who was the individual conference champion shooting a 72 including a HOLE IN ONE on the 17th!

Congratulations to a season filled with team and individual accolades! The girls golf program is led by Head Coach Jeff Henrikson and Assistant Coach James Chellson.
