S.A.F.E. EPA Protest
When: September 20, 2022, 9:00 AM EDT
Where:U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Headquarters
1200 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20004

Join “Scientists, Activists, and Families for cancer-free Environments” (S.A.F.E.) to protest the Superfund Sites that are not cleaned up and are exposing children to toxic and radioactive contamination.

There are over 1,300 environmental emergency (Superfund) sites in America that are exposing children to toxic and radioactive contamination. The EPA has neglected, delayed, or implemented insufficient cleanups in order to protect the polluters, instead of protecting people. That's why we're protesting with communities across the U.S. to demand the proper cleanups of EPA sites in order to protect our children from cancer!

Tell Congress to Cut the Bloated Military Budget

The House of Representatives will vote on amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for 2023, a mammoth bill to fund the Pentagon. President Biden requested $813 billion for the military. And last month the House Armed Services Committee (with a Democrat chair and majority) voted to ADD a whopping $37 billion on top of the President's budget.

Support people over the Pentagon. Tell Congress to cut the bloated military budget here.
Petition for Climate Action in Pennsylvania

Join PSR PA and the United Nations Associations of Greater Philadelphia in signing this petition to Governor Wolf and the Pennsylvanian Assembly. This petition is one of the outcomes of the Pennsylvania Climate Convergence in Harrisburg last month. We need climate action to overcome Federal inaction - and we need it now!

The petition is close to six thousand - help all our friends get over the top!

Eliminate $5000 Fee to Access a Taxpayer-Funded Database

Pennsylvanians should not have to pay $5,000 to subscribe to the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' (DCNR) EDWIN database nor an additional $500 annual maintenance fee to access oil & gas records.

EDWIN was created by the DCNR and private corporations to put oil and gas well records in a database. This database is critical in tracking the impact of oil and gas development. Taxpayer dollars already paid to create the database. We cannot allow the public's access of this information to be restricted.

Join us and tell the DCNR to eliminate the outrageous fees that only serve to restrict access to critically-important public information.
