September 8, 2023
Our newsletter has a new name – or more accurately, a combination of old and new names. For decades, as far back as the 1960’s, the monthly newsletter of Christ Church has been named The Vineyard. Our weekly emailed bulletin was started in 2013 as a “current events” announcement format, and has been variously called “the Friday email,” the “Friday bulletin,” or “the Friday newsletter.” Now it’s time to give it a formal name – The Friday Vineyard, in recognition of our history and its weekly publication frequency. As a parallel name, we’ll call the printed service and announcement booklet distributed at the Sunday morning worship services The Sunday Bulletin.
Thank you!

Tammy Walden, Pat and Ron Bezona's daughter and owner of
S & L Paper Company of Atlanta, designed this illustration of our church that was used for the gift book for the Weidmans at the installation. The image is featured as the cover slide for the September livestream videos. Thank you, Tammy.

A Prayer for Ukraine
God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace for wisdom, discernment, and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
Amen.
