Emergency Preparedness:
Significant Winter Storm Expected

The National Weather Service and Ventura County Sheriff’s Emergency Services are monitoring a winter storm system that is set to impact the Ventura County beginning today (Thursday) through Saturday. Over the next 48 hours, this storm is expected to bring significant snowfall expected in our local mountains and periods of heavy rain and gusty winds are anticipated throughout the region.

The heaviest periods of rainfall are currently anticipated to occur Friday from 12:00am - 12:00am Saturday.

Take steps now to prepare your family to know what to do and how to stay connected in any hazardous event.

  3. Make an emergency kit. See this checklist to ensure your kit has all the necessities.
