PA Tax Credit Program Brings Funding to Via!

Last week, Via Foundation Board Chair Brian Cook, of People's Security Bank & Trust, stopped by with an Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) check for Via. This unique program is open to all businesses in Pennsylvania and allows them to receive a tax credit of up to 90% for a two-year commitment.

As the holiday season approaches, embrace the spirit of giving by making a meaningful contribution to Via of the Lehigh Valley this Giving Tuesday, December 3rd. Visit our Bethlehem office at 336 W. Spruce Street in Bethlehem with a donation of $100 or more, and we’ll thank you with a special gift – a hand-made holiday candle crafted by our team at Spruce Street Products. You can also make your donation online by clicking the button below. Your generosity makes a real difference!

Halloween Bash at Via

We had a spook-tacular time at our Halloween party last week!

Our Adult Training Facility dressed up as the "Wizard of Oz" cast, and they claimed the Best Group Costume prize for that effort!

We also enjoyed Halloween-related crafts, lunch, and sang karaoke in our workshop. It wouldn't be a festive Halloween without treats, too!

Tav & Sean Go to Harrisburg

Tav, one of the individuals that Via supports, and our Director of Small Group Employment, Sean, visited the Capitol Building in Harrisburg recently alongside partner UniqueSource.

They were visiting to share Tav's story of his second chance at employment in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. We were so honored to attend and share what we do with our State Senators!

NEW! Text 911

You can now text 911 in every county in Pennsylvania. The PA Dept of Emergency Management shared this information in September. This is a great option for those who are hearing-impaired or deaf, if you can't speak during an emergency, or have a speech disability. Just enter "911" in the to: box of your messaging app and detail the situation and address of your emergency.
