This Weekend in Worship

November begins with All Saints Day and ends in or near Advent, when we anticipate Christ’s coming again. It is fitting, then, that the readings this weekend tell of the final resurrection and the end time. In the turmoil of hope, fear, and disbelief that these predictions provoke in us, Hebrews sounds a note of confident trust. Christ makes a way for us where there is no way, and we walk it confidently, our hearts and bodies washed in baptismal water, trusting the one who has promised forgiveness. The more we see the last day approaching, the more important it is to meet together to provoke one another to love.

God's Work. Our Hands.

We are collecting gifts for Trinity Center at Luther Park. You can find the list of items needed here. Please deliver new, unwrapped gifts to Faith Lutheran Commons by Sunday, December 8th. Any items not used for Christmas will be used throughout the year for resident birthday and bingo gifts.

We will also be collecting gifts for our friends at MOSAIC again this year. Be watching for the tree in the Commons when Advent begins on December 1.

Project Holiday Cheer

December 8

We will be donning our festive attire and heading out to spread Christmas cheer through singing carols to some of our members and at local nursing homes. If you know of someone in the congregation who could use some extra Christmas cheer this year, please let Pastor Megan (megan@faithlc.org) know and we will make every effort to carol at their place of residence.
