DRESS DOWN DAY
Thursday, February 23rd
| |
On Monday, February 6, both Turkey and northern Syria experienced a magnitude 7.8 earthquake devastating much of the area.
The Malik family reached out to see how we could help. With their assistance, we will be donating to Turkish Philanthropy Funds. From Adam and Zara:
“You should dress down and donate money because many Turkish kids have lost everything and need to rebuild their lives. We want the Park Maitland family to help contribute to the lives of many in Turkey after this devastating event.”

If you have any questions, please reach out to Joy Sonntag at jsonntag@parkmaitland.org | |

Troy Kemp is a passionate, award-winning educator, coach, speaker, and transformational leader. Mr. Kemp was raised as one of 6 children, in a single parent, migrant worker’s home in Riverhead, NY. The former
collegiate football player’s education includes earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Colgate University and a master’s degree in independent school leadership from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College.
Troy’s career includes spending 24 years on the faculty at McCallie, an all-boys school in Chattanooga, Tennessee. At McCallie, Mr. Kemp served as a teacher, dorm parent and administrator, while coaching his teams to a state championship in football and eight titles in lacrosse. After a year of serving as associate headmaster at McCallie, Troy became the founding executive director of the National Center for the

Why are we having an early dismissal day? Park Maitland teachers are committed to life-long learning and ongoing professional development.
