DRESS DOWN DAY

Thursday, February 23rd

On Monday, February 6, both Turkey and northern Syria experienced a magnitude 7.8 earthquake devastating much of the area.

The Malik family reached out to see how we could help. With their assistance, we will be donating to Turkish Philanthropy Funds. From Adam and Zara:

“You should dress down and donate money because many Turkish kids have lost everything and need to rebuild their lives. We want the Park Maitland family to help contribute to the lives of many in Turkey after this devastating event.”

Video: My Motivation

Troy Kemp is a passionate, award-winning educator, coach, speaker, and transformational leader. Mr. Kemp was raised as one of 6 children, in a single parent, migrant worker’s home in Riverhead, NY. The former

collegiate football player’s education includes earning a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Colgate University and a master’s degree in independent school leadership from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College.

Troy’s career includes spending 24 years on the faculty at McCallie, an all-boys school in Chattanooga, Tennessee. At McCallie, Mr. Kemp served as a teacher, dorm parent and administrator, while coaching his teams to a state championship in football and eight titles in lacrosse. After a year of serving as associate headmaster at McCallie, Troy became the founding executive director of the National Center for the

Development of Boys (NCDB). The NCDB was established to improve the lives of boys by providing resources and programs for parents, teachers, mentors and organizations committed to helping with their learning and development as they journey to manhood.

The Art and Science of Increasing Motivation, Communication and Accountability

Would you like to have better results while creating less stress at home or in the classroom? Would you like to know how you can influence your child to rise to every challenge? Most people teach the way they learned and parent the way they were raised, but every good parent and educator knows there is more than one way to move the needle. Join Troy Kemp as he helps us expand our playbook for success in and out of the classroom while helping children and young adults develop a winning mindset. In this workshop, Troy Kemp will share

trends, research and best practices on how to help children have more success without adding stress.

Why are we having an early dismissal day?  Park Maitland teachers are committed to life-long learning and ongoing professional development. These collaboration days are set aside for teachers to reflect, plan, and learn together for the benefit of our students.

Billing News

We encourage every family to check their ALMA account on a weekly basis.

Checking your account regularly will allow you to view any incidental charges and/or updates to your account and more importantly allow time if there are any adjustments that need to be made prior to the billing due date.

Please be reminded that monthly tuition billing will load to your account on the 1st of each month. All charges are due by the 5th of the month.

If your family is signed up for ACH, all monthly charges will draft on the 3rd. Late payments will incur a 1.5% late fee charge. We appreciate your efforts and partnership to meet these expectations.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Business Office with any questions and/or concerns.
