Don't Miss Your Chance to Register for Golf Fore Inclusion 2024

Come for the prizes – stay for the life-changing impact.

Don’t miss your chance to register for Golf Fore Inclusion 2024. Registration for our fun, all-abilities, nine-hole tournament happening at Deerhurst Lakeside Golf Course in September ends August 31. We only have a few spaces left!

Along with the fun social scene, you will also have a chance at lots of prizes, including an exciting $10,000 Hole-In-One Cash Prize.

Plus, new this year, we have added a Cheers to Prizes Putting Contest. Golfers will have the chance to putt their shot at a bevvy of boozy (and not-so-boozy) prizes on the putting green – literally. Get your golf ball to tap your prize … and take it home! While supplies last.

And remember – all this fun is for a purpose. You are helping us raise funds for our affordable housing initiatives so people with developmental disabilities and families can find and keep roofs over their heads in our community.

Why wait? Registration is easy:

  • Visit our Golf Fore Inclusion webpage
  • Fill in the Registration Form
  • Click ‘submit’ to complete your registration

Please help us sell out this amazing event! I can’t wait to see you on the course.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Jerrett

Spotlight: Housing Initiatives

Everyone Deserves a Place to Call Home

Every day we support a rising number of people with developmental disabilities and families to find and keep roofs over their heads, as the deepening housing crisis causes prices to rise and homes to disappear.

Our community needs solutions and we have stepped up. But these innovative actions often go beyond our government-funded supports and services.

Save the Date for Community Living Huntsville's 2024 Festive Brunch

Festive Brunch returns December 1

Save the date for our Festive Brunch, formerly called the Autumn Brunch, presented by Tall Trees on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Active Living Centre in Huntsville.

You can enjoy a delicious brunch, fabulous silent auction, community connection, and a powerful disability self-advocate as our incredible keynote speaker.

This mystery keynote speaker is a Canadian actor, broadcaster, model, and more, who has worked alongside Woody Harrelson, Kaitlin Olson, and Bobby Farrelly, to name a few.

Are you on the edge of your seat? We are excited to share more in the near future!

Please mark your calendars to join us for this signature event with its new name, new date, and ongoing commitment to inspiring conversations worth having.

Experiences with Passport Funding Survey

Do you live with the label of an intellectual or developmental disability? If so, you are invited to participate in the Experiences with Passport Funding survey.

This survey is part of a study created by a Self-Advocates Research Group based in Ontario. The purpose of this survey is to find out what works and does not work with Passport funding.

The survey closes Friday, August 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM.

Members of the Self-Advocate Research Group will present what they learn from this survey at the Community Living Ontario conference, at the Speaking Out conference, and in publications.

If you have questions or want more information about this study, please contact YTNSARG@gmail.com.

Note: this is not a Community Living Huntsville survey – we are just helping to spread the word.
