LIC Halloween Happenings

Halloween Trick-or-Treating in LIC


Thurs., Oct. 31, 4-6 p.m. - Stop by the "Lumina Arcana" art installation at Vernon Mall to trick-or-treat and capture your spooky costumes (or jazz up your ensemble with our costume rack!) with a photo booth experience from Velvet Turtle Events. This Halloween fun is brought to you by the Long Island City Partnership (LICP) and the Long Island City Business Improvement District (LIC BID). Details

Halloween and Día de los Muertos Happenings


Weds., Oct. 30, 7:30-10 p.m. - Fifth Hammer Brewing Co. presents live improvised scores to two silent horror films - "The Haunted House" and "The Phantom of the Opera." Details


Through Thurs., Oct. 31 - Uni K Wax offers spooky Halloween specials including discounts on face services and for new local resident customers. Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. - Partners Coffee LIC offers those in costume a free Halloween candy treat. Trick-or-treaters of all ages are welcome. Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. - Gaseteria Works hosts a "trick-or-treat for wellness" with goodies, complimentary chair massages from Quintessential Therapy, and more. Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 11:30 a.m. - Jing Li offers costumed customers who snap a pic and share it on Instagram tagging @jinglinyc a free dim sum (veg. options available). Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 12-10 p.m. - Mango Mango Desserts LIC offers in-store customers who spend $15 or more a free exclusive Halloween 'ghostie' pin. Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 2-7:30 p.m. - Champions Martial Arts Long Island City offers Halloween goodie bags including class passes (ages 3+). Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 2:30-5 p.m. - Earth Angel Crystal presents a free kids' Halloween event with free face painting or glitter eyeshadow, goody bags, and more. Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 3-5 p.m. - The Businesses at 12th Street host trick-or-treating with candy and crafts for all. Parents with costumed littles enjoy a complimentary beer at Focal Point Beer Co. Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 4-6:30 p.m. - Brooklyn Boulders offers trick-or-treating and invites the neighborhood to come by in costume for a sweet treat to celebrate Halloween. Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 5-10 p.m. - M. Wells hosts a white Halloween party with live music, fun activities, great food and killer drinks. Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m. - Museum of the Moving Image presents classic American horror movies "The Fog" and "The Seventh Victim." Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m. - Fifth Hammer Brewing Co. hosts an annual "Howl-oween Dog Costume Parade & Contest." Details


Thurs., Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m. - BOUT Boxing's group classes celebrate Halloween with a glow-in-the-dark spooky workout. Wear your best whites (or costume). Details

Thursday, Oct. 31, 9 p.m. - Sapps LIC hosts a Halloween party featuring DJ Kando, a costume contest, tarot readings, and cocktails. Details


Thurs., Oct. 31-Sat., Nov. 2 - Teazzi LIC customers can receive a discount for wearing costumes, taking pictures in the store, buying a pumpkin drink, and more. Details


Sat., Nov. 2, 1-3 p.m. - TF Cornerstone's Malt Drive Park hosts a Día de los Muertos pet parade and costume contest. Details


Sat., Nov. 2, 2-6 p.m. - Museum of the Moving Image celebrates Day of the Dead with a performance of Aztec Mexica dance, ofrendas, music from Indigenous dance troupe Yayauhki Tezcatlipoka, and more. Details
