Along with Tezikiah Gabriel, PTP Executive Director, and Kim Weichel, Project Lead, these accomplished Peace leaders will be charged with reviewing applications and making final selections.

Out of the pool of candidates, we will be selecting and publicly introducing ten women of distinction, five women of any age, and five young women (under 25 years of age), including the two finalists.

Nominee applications will be reviewed as they come in. The deadline for all nominations is July 20thth. We will follow up with nominees to complete the application process by July 30th . The ten women of distinction will be selected by August 5th, and the two finalists, one in each category, will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in September 2022. The two finalists will receive a trophy and a $300 cash prize.

We know that women are rising all around our world and in great numbers. In big and small ways, women are standing in their power and speaking their own truth. Out of this “rising up,” we see women and young women using their voice and presence to create positive change and build lasting Peace. And we recognize that women have been the heart and hands of the movements for Peace throughout our history.

As Project Lead Kimberly Weichel explains, “This award honors the inspiring work of women peacebuilders whose courage, leadership, and commitment to Peace stand out as beacons of strength and hope.”

In the spirit of our recently passed Co-Founder, Avon Mattison, PTP recognizes the exceptional leadership of women of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences. And we wish to honor those among us that have exceeded all expectations in their quest for sustainable Peace. Thank you for helping us lift-up and honor the work of Exceptional Women!

Please remember, wherever your heart leads you, and what opportunities surface for you, you ARE a pathway to Peace!
