News from St. Patricia Parish
"Again you have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘Do not take a false oath, but make good to the Lord all that you vow.” - Matthew 5:33
Dear Parishioners,

We celebrated a beautiful Family Mass with our Religious Education Families on Sunday, January 22nd. Thank you to Mrs. Chris Ramos and the RE staff for making the morning prayerful and engaging!

Our prayer together helps us as family, school age or older, to pray and meditate on life’s big questions. It points us beyond the here and now to our God who loves us unconditionally. Our communion with other people reminds us that we are not alone as we seek to be people of integrity and compassion.

Please encourage your family and friends to celebrate, if at all possible, Mass together each Sunday, but at least monthly as a family.

Our presence together helps us to enter more profoundly into Christ’s love for us. Our prayers remind us that Christ’s love takes nothing away from what makes life beautiful and great. No! Christ leads us to the fullness of joy and true happiness!

Ash Wednesday, February 22nd, opens the Holy Season of Lent. All Catholics are encouraged to pray, fast and perform works of charity. It is not too early to begin to pray over your Lenten disciplines for this year.

Father Przemek Tomczyk will lead our Lenten Mission, beginning on the weekend of February 25th-26th and on Monday and Tuesday evening, February 27th-28th. He will lead us in prayer and reflection beginning at 7:00 p.m. each evening with Mass.

On the Fridays during Lent, we will have the Stations of the Cross in church. Please look for details in the upcoming bulletins regarding other activities.
Sincerely,
Father Mike Meany
Annual Catholic Appeal
Supporting the Annual Catholic Appeal unites us as a faith community in demonstrating love of neighbor through the good works we are able to provide together.
The Appeal drives the holy mission of our archdiocese to teach, to serve, and to sanctify, allowing us to
carry out the work of Christ. If you received your pledge form in the mail, please complete it and mail it back. This year, we also encourage our parishioners to make their Annual Catholic Appeal gifts online at annualcatholicappeal.com.

What We Believe: The Beauty of the Catholic Faith
The Catholic Church is extraordinary. It is where we encounter God in His Word, His sacraments, and His saints. It proclaims the fullness of life, leaving no person out. It calls all to repent and to believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, the source of all life and salvation. Maybe you’ve been Catholic your entire life. Maybe you’re just beginning to explore the Catholic Faith. Wherever you may be in your journey, you will be profoundly moved by the beauty and the richness of the Catholic Church.

CATHOLIC PRAYER CORNER

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come; thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.
