BEFORE..

This home had a separate kitchen, a separate eating area and a separate dining room. The clients expressed a desire for their kitchen to feel more open to their family room. Completely opening up the pass-thru between the eating area and family room, instead of going through a hallway, will really help to make the space more connected.

BEFORE...

We thought about moving the kitchen into the dining room but opted for a more budget-friendly approach. We kept the kitchen where it is and removed the walls around the dining room (with the orange paint).

AFTER (virtual)

The effective solution was implementing the extension of the counter into a peninsula. This created a direct path to the sliding glass door out to the pool and a unique eat-in kitchen with additional storage. The 3D video below shows the seamless flow between the kitchen and the other spaces.
