This Sunday is a really big Sunday and we hope you all will be there! We start with our Celebration of Ministries parade of banners, seeing all the ways we can be God's hands and feet, then a blessing of Backpacks, Computer bags, diaper bags, etc. to start off a new year walking in the light of God, then out to the church grounds for our picnic, waterslide, music and fellowship.

Wear casual picnic attire - kids should wear bathing suits under their clothes to enjoy the water activities. Sun screen, towel, and water bottle will also be a help! Parking available on Bank of America (catty corner to the church), use the North Ave entrance. Make sure to get a voucher ticket from the ushers as you come in or leave church.

Kids are back in school, we've had our vacations, staycations, and family visits, and we are called back into our faith community to gather together to be the body of Christ.

Moving Up Ceremony for Kindergartners

9:00-10:00 in Children's Chapel,

2nd fl of the Pritchett Center

Each Kindergartner will receive a special gift from the church to mark their transition from Nursery/Little Saints to the big kids floor and ministry. Any parent is welcome to attend and see what we do in Children's Church, but especially Kindergartner parents. You will come up with them to get a blessing and their gift during the service.

Backpack Blessing

10:00 service, at the announcements

At All Saints, we have a ritual of celebrating and blessing the beginning of another year in school, work, and our ministries. Newborns to 100 years old can bring your backpacks, briefcases, diaper bags, or computer bags to church with you to be blessed and mark this new year of learning and loving and following in Jesus’ footsteps. We will be called to bring our bags up to the be blessed at the end of the announcements - would love to have all ages up there! This year, our theme is Together - Together we are the body of Christ. Make sure to grab a Blessing Bag Tag for your bag as you come in or leave church.

Celebration of Ministries

10:00 service processional

I need 3 or 4 kids/adults to carry our ministry banners this Sunday in the processional. We will meet on the walkway into church, find me with our banners, and I will walk with folks during the opening hymn. We stand around the outside aisles while the ministries are blessed and then process out to hand over our banners and head back to your seats for the service. I also need kids who would like to hand out backpack tags before church. Email or leave me a message Kathy Roberts

Join us for a great year of fun, learning, singing, and ringing. In addition to choir, Kathy Roberts provides art activities, a game room, a homework room, a light snack for children, and time for fellowship for all on the 2nd floor.

Wander up to Highlands, NC to the beautiful Episcopal Conference Center for a soul-filling weekend of fun (kickball, canoeing, races, tennis and pickle ball, Polar Bear swim, scavenger hunt, hiking, and more), fellowship with your church family (happy hours/social gatherings, dancing and singing), and faith formation (worship services, programs for nursery, children, youth, and adults).
