“Sweet Conversation”: Tackling Food Waste!

November 13, 6:30 - 8:00 PM

Did you know? According to foodrescue.net, American food production and distribution has a tremendous resource cost (10% of the nation’s total energy budget, 50% of its land, and 80% of all U.S. freshwater consumption) and up to 40% of all food ends up in landfills. Join us over dessert for our second Creation Care Conversation to learn what action we can take to help. We will hear from Ambrose Feess-Armstrong, community education manager of Food to Power, a local nonprofit organization founded in 2013 to reduce food waste while increasing food access. Please sign up so we plan appropriately for our yummy desserts and food scrap samplings. Contact Mary Anderson at mpand@comcast.net for more information on the class.
