LUNAR NEW YEAR

Celebrations 2023

Students and staff throughout Fountain Valley School District learned about Lunar New Year with colorful celebrations, delicious dishes, and hands-on experiences. Thank you to our FVSD parent volunteers and community for helping to make the learning and celebrating memorable and so much fun.

SAFETY

AED Training and Parent Cyber Safety Seminar

FVSD Health Assistants participated in an AED training. Automated External Defibrillators are used on a person suffering from sudden cardiac arrest or other life-threatening heart conditions. AEDs will be installed in each our FVSD school sites and district facilities.

Parents had a Cyber Safety session with School Resource Officer Fermin. She shared information regarding common social media apps and explained how to protect our kids from online predators. The information was greatly appreciated by all that attended.

8th Grader Field Trip

Fountain Valley High School

Eighth-grade students from all three middle schools participated in a field trip to Fountain Valley High School to get a sneak peek into high school life. Thanks to FVHS staff and Principal Lopez for hosting us!

MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER TOURNAMENT

Wednesday, January 18th was our All Middle Schools Soccer Tournament, hosted at Talbert Middle School. Soccer is the first of four All Middle School Sports Tournaments. Congratulations to all teams, coaches and fans for a great day of sportsmanship and fun!

FVSD ART SHOW

Tuesday, April 18, 2023

Teacher Art Coordinators at each of our ten school sites are collecting student artwork to display at our FVSD 20th Annual District Art Show, Let Your Art Shine. Save the date for this event, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, 4:00-7:00 pm at our FVSD District Office. There will be interactive art stations, food trucks, middle school choir performances, and fun for the whole family.

Last year FVSD raised $7,474 for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
