Happy December everybody. Winter will officially begin this month with the Winter Solstice on December 21st, so be prepared for your body telling you it’s hibernation time as our hemisphere tilts away from the Sun. It is now thought that Stonehenge was build by sun worshipers and aligned to frame the Winter Solstice, welcoming the rebirth of the sun. We have some pieces of Prescelli Bluestone that Stonehenge was made from and the energy of this stone has an inner radiance that suggest it has captured eons of sun rebirths.

Thanks to all who visited us during our Denver Trunk Show. A good time was had by all and several special pieces found new homes. Everyone was super happy to see we were finally able to restock all those “must haves” that we haven’t lately been able to find like palm-sized Carnelian, Rose Quartz and Labradorite. Heads up though, they are going fast and we won’t be restocking until the next Tucson Show in March. We so enjoyed having our Customer Appreciation Sale back in full swing. Hundreds and hundreds of people drew gift boxes out of our treasure chest and let us show them how much we appreciate being a part of their lives. We will leave the 35%-50%-75% discount bows on select pieces until the end of the year so be sure to look around in all the nooks, crannies and corners of the store for some unbelievable prices on pieces you thought you could only dream of owning.

There are two United Nations holidays this month, International Volunteer Day on the 5th and Human Rights Day on the 10th, both asking us to be mindful of others and show appreciation. National Salesperson Day on December 13 might be a great day to share some appreciation with the Nature's Treasures Staff that serves you when you visit. You’ll be able to show your holiday spirit on the 16th, National Ugly Sweater Day - be brave! Hanukkah festivities this year will begin on December 18 and Kwanzaa begins on December 26!

Christmas Day on December 25 is kind of the shining star for December holidays, although I was surprised to learn that Christmas Day was originally a celebration of the winter Solstice not a religious holiday. After Christianity was introduced and the Pagan and Christian festivals were merged, on December 13th, 335, the Roman Catholic Church had its official Christmas Celebration to tell the story of Jesus as a baby in a manger visited by 3 wise men. Truth be told Jesus was not born in December (more likely in the Spring or Summer) but the Three Wise Men (actually astrologers) that the Bible tells us about probably visited the baby Jesus months after his birth.

As you can well imagine, our Online Store is busy busy busy packing all the orders that came in during our Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sales. Santa even sent some of his elves to help out, and make sure that all orders were packed with an extra sprinkle of Holiday Cheer. A special thanks for the tremendous number of orders from our VIP SMS text subscribers - we’re glad they were able to find plenty of sale items online and make use of the various discounts. So far, it seems that Moldavite jewelry is this season’s “must have” gift!

The full moon on the 7th will be a great time to give all your crystals and stones a good cleanse. They’ve been working extra hard for the past 11 months, and a little crystal spa treatment, i.e. 24 hours of moonlight and sunshine, will help rejuvenate the capability of you and your crystals to join energies. This would also be a good time to give yourself the same treatment. Take a few minutes and review those goals and events of this year that have helped you grow in your spirituality and learn more of your life lessons. By paying homage to yourself and your achievements you are not only giving thanks for your growth and blessings, but also solidifying a clearer pattern to continue your lesson learning for the next new year.
