Transitional Kindergarten Authors

Transitional Kindergarteners have been hard at work. During Independent Writing Workshop, our littlest learners created stories that follow the structure and text features of narratives. TK authors shared their stories with their 4th-grade book buddies. What a writing celebration! Go, Panthers!

Meeting Dates

Families of incoming Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten students are invited to visit their home school site on Thursday, February 23rd, from 1:30-2:30. Meet the teachers and hear from our principals and school office managers. If you have neighbors with little folks who are turning 5 years old by September 1, 2023, they are eligible for Kindergarten! Children turning 4 years old by April 2, 2023, are eligible for TK (Transitional Kindergarten).

Site Tours & Governance Workshop

FVSD Board Trustees were out on campuses for School Tours at Gisler, Courreges, Masuda, and Cox this week. They enjoyed seeing all the teaching and learning and meeting so many FVSD employees.

On Saturday morning the trustees met for a special board meeting focused on governance team building. Board members fulfill their responsibilities and make decisions that will best serve all students in the FVSD community by working together and with the superintendent, as a unified governance team.

Last year FVSD raised $7,474 for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.

FVSD ART SHOW

Tuesday, April 18, 2023

Teacher Art Coordinators at each of our ten school sites are collecting student artwork to display at our FVSD 20th Annual District Art Show, Let Your Art Shine. Save the date for this event, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, 4:00-7:00 pm at our FVSD District Office. There will be interactive art stations, food trucks, middle school choir performances, and fun for the whole family.

To be inspired is great. To inspire is incredible.
