UPCOMING EVENTS

Feeling overwhelmed by the current political and social climate? You’re not alone—and you’re not powerless.

Join us for a 4-hour, in-person workshop designed to help you process anger, set healthy boundaries, and turn emotional fatigue into meaningful, values-driven action.

Through group discussion, guided reflection, and practical tools, you’ll explore how to protect your peace, find your voice, and stay grounded in hope. Whether you consider yourself an activist or not, you’ll leave with renewed clarity, purpose, and connection.

About the workshop leader:

Hal Benz is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, business performance strategist, and life coach with over 30 years of experience helping individuals and organizations thrive. He brings a unique blend of emotional insight and strategic thinking to his work—supporting clients through personal transformation, leadership development, and purposeful activism.

Hal lives in northern New Jersey with his wife of 34 years and their two rescue cats, affectionately named after folk singers Harry and Tom Chapin. He is also the author of the Substack blog Saving My Daughter’s America, where he writes about democracy, resilience, and the ongoing fight for a more just and compassionate nation.

This workshop is offered free of charge.

Contact Brooks Smith (smithjbrooks25@gmail.com) for more information.

Paint & Sip Registration and Pre-Pay Window closes on April 30!

Please note that we are unable to sell tickets at the door. Registration by cash or check will be held between Easter Sunday services and after church 4/27.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

We need more ushers to join our rotation. Help us to welcome people to morning worship!

If you're interested, please contact George Hellerman (Gph2@aol.com).

Membership Commission is seeking volunteers to serve on a hospitality repast committee should a member like assistance to have a light reception in our fellowship area following a memorial service.

Members of the committee, along with some Membership / Fellowship Commission members, would provide desserts and coffee/tea, set up the fellowship area, and clean up.

We have recruited five volunteers to date, but are hoping to have 10 members to call on if our help is needed.

Contact Gail Smith or T.J.Blazek, co-chairs of Membership/Fellowship Commission to volunteer for this service.
