HMIS@NCCEH System Changes
New Trainings for New Users Coming Soon!
The Data Center is launching a full suite of HMIS Trainings in the New Year replacing the current process. The new trainings will live in the Learning Management System website that everyone used for Annual Privacy Trainings in September.

New User Training Transition
  • No new license requests accepted between December 2nd and January 2nd
  • New users currently training must complete all requirements and submit Test clients by December 21st, or start over in the new site
  • New LMS Training process will launch January 3rd

If your agency wants new users onboarded to HMIS, you must request their license by December 2nd or wait until January. Reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your patience as we transition our internal procedures for the HMIS@NCCEH Training LMS! We're excited to share improved tips and integrated workflow based virtual training soon!
Give HUD your Feedback: Proposed Changes to Homeless Data Collection for Race, Ethnicity, and Gender Identity
HUD updates our HMIS Data Standards (generally) every two years. In preparation for Fiscal Year 2024 updates, HUD is asking for your feedback!
  • Should Race & Ethnicity be combined into one data element?
  • Should Preferred Language be added a required question?
  • Should Gender be updated to have follow-up questions?

HUD is asking for feedback from all HMIS Implementations by December 31st. The Data Center will prepare this, but agencies are welcome to directly contact HUD through their Ask A Question (AAQ) feature online.
November's System Updates meeting will review the proposed changes and December's will include a focus group for feedback from agency representatives.
