WE ❤️ OUR SCHOOLS!

Our Three "Foundational" Pillars

We measure our growing impact through the increase of annualized growth in awarded grants, the District programs invested, and number of students impacted each year by the efforts of the FDCS. The Foundation funds and fundraises around these pillars:

INNOVATION &

LEADERSHIP

Emphasis on creative modes of instruction that prove effective at increasing students’ cognition. Developing the whole student - focusing on communication, collaboration, critical thinking skills, initiative, community stewardship and leadership.

S.T.E.A.M.

Empowering students with a strong educational background in STEAM: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math fields, so as to be better prepared for a changing world and continually evolving workforce.

COMMUNITY

Promote inclusion, empathy and stewardship of our greater community in the education process, as well as turning the rewards of that education back towards the community in terms of service, stewarding and care of those in need.

WE ❤️ OUR TEACHERS!

Mid-Year Supply Drive for Teachers and Classrooms

THANK YOU to our partners Office Depot and the Douglas County Libraries for their tremendous support during the 2023 January Lend a Hand School Supply Drive for Teachers. The Douglas County community generously donated much needed school supplies for our teachers and their classrooms at the Highlands Ranch, Greenwood Village, Parker and Castle Rock Office Depots and Douglas County Library locations, throughout January. In addition, Office Depot has donated coupons and impactful large classroom items to our teachers.

Our Douglas County teachers joined us at the DCSD Legacy Campus on January 25th and 26th for a Grab & Go event and were able to select donated supplies.

The Apple Awards showcase the achievements and dedication of Douglas County School District educators and staff. All Apple Awards sponsorships offer our community the opportunity to support the great work of our teachers and the 68,000+ students that walk our halls each day.

WE ❤️ OUR STUDENTS!

The Douglas County School District's Perseverance Scholarship has awarded over $276,000 in scholarships to nearly 200 seniors since 1988. Financial need and academic merit are key criteria used in selecting the scholarship recipients.

In addition, students who are awarded this scholarship have often overcome personal challenges. These students show grit, determination and resiliency, and need financial assistance to continue their education after graduation from a DCSD school.
