SCRA Announces New Member Companies and Grant Funding

NovaVia Spine and Biologics, Tax Titans, and Terratory were accepted as South Carolina Research Authority Member Companies. Dealerverse, Notey, and Querri received new grant funding.


All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching and access to SCRA’s Member Benefits, Startup Resources, can apply for grant funding, and have the potential to be considered for investment from SCRA’s investment affiliate, SC Launch Inc. Read more.


SCRA Introduces 2024 InnoVision Award Finalists

The 2024 InnoVision Awards “Meet the Finalists” event, held on August 28 in Columbia, showcased the brightest innovators from South Carolina’s vibrant tech and business community. Hosted at the Boyd Innovation Center, the event brought together entrepreneurs, researchers, and leaders to celebrate outstanding achievements in innovation across the state.


SCRA sponsored the event and introduced each of the finalists with a summary of their innovation. Eight of the 18 finalists are either SCRA Member Companies who are just starting out or part of SC Launch Inc.’s portfolio, which are high-growth startups that have received an investment. Read more.

SC Launch Inc. Portfolio Company Test Improves Survival Outcomes In High-Grade Glioma Patients

Predictive diagnostics developer Kiyatec Inc., an SC Launch Inc. Portfolio Company, has unveiled data showing that its 3D Predict Glioma test improved survival outcomes in patients with high-grade glioma by accurately predicting their response to chemotherapy.


Data published in Scientific Reports highlighted that patients who responded to the test had a median progression-free survival increase of 5.8 months, and an overall survival increase of 7.6 months, compared to non-responders. The study enrolled 102 patients with newly diagnosed HGG, a cancer which has a typically poor prognosis. Read more.

SCRA Participates in S.C. Manufacturing Roundtable

South Carolina has worked hard in recent years to revitalize its manufacturing base, in the wake of changes in the textile industry, and it has come back strong. Automobiles and aircraft are just part of the boom in manufacturing in the Palmetto State.


Greenville Business Magazine hosted a roundtable discussion with four leaders in the world of manufacturing in July. Rob Moser, SCRA senior investment manager, participated in the discussion. Read more.
