District News & Events

This week we pause as a people and reflect overall for which we as a nation have to give thanks.

Great work is happening because of your generous donations over the past two months:

·    13 congregations received grants

·    73 workers are receiving grants

·    Over 200 jobs completed by Disaster Response teams

·    Nearly 400 families experienced the Lord’s goodness

·    More than 3,500 volunteer hours have been given

We are indeed thankful, but it is having an even greater impact. As Paul says, “This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God” 2 Corinthians 9:12. So, we thank you again and pray that you have a blessed Thanksgiving!

GivingTuesday is November 29

On November 29, people worldwide are coming together to give back. Will you be one

of them? The Florida-Georgia District will participate in GivingTuesday, and you can be a part of this celebration of generosity, too!

Here is how you can get ready:

  1. Mark your calendar. November 29 is #GivingTuesday!
  2. Give. On November 29, go to our website and donate. You can also go to our Disaster Response webpage and support in other ways.
  3. Spread the word. Encourage your friends and family to join you in creating a real impact on GivingTuesday by sharing what our mission means to you and why you support our organization. Share pictures on social media and tag us!
