MEET OUR NEW SAFETY PATROLS!

Congratulations to our new inductees! These students heard the call to serve and answered! You'll see this stellar group of 5th graders at carpool and throughout the school, doing their part to keep Pinecrest Elementary safe.

PARKING UPDATE

Please note that there is no parking allowed on the 57th Ave circle in front of the school during drop off or dismissal. Kindly park in one of the designated spots along 57th Ave. We understand that this may cause some disruption but ask for your patience and understanding as we work towards clearing the considerable traffic during these peak times.

TUA FOUNDATION FLAG FOOTBALL FIELD IS NOW OPEN!

After going viral last year for her innovative incorporation of Miami Dolphin's football into her curriculum, our very own Mrs. Crippen and PES Staff teamed up with the Tua Foundation to make a BIG donation to our school! The Tua Foundation, established by Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of youth initiatives, health and wellness, and other charitable causes.

Since April, they have been working hard to install an incredible turf flag football field at our school, unveiling it last Wednesday. Tua's parents, his wife Annah, and even a few Dolphins Cheerleaders were in attendance, and were warmly welcomed by our students who prepared performances and cheer routines for them. Game on!

SCHOOL STORE CLOSED

Sorry folks, but we need a few days to reset and restock. Not to worry though, patches are still available, and we will be up and running again in a few days! We appreciate your understanding.

CALLING ALL 1ST AND 2ND GRADE PARENTS

Hands down, one of the best things about 1st and 2nd Grade (according to our students), is Lunch Bunch. Lunch Bunch is an opportunity for Parents to come into school and spend lunch time with their child and a small group of their classmates. In order to join you must attend one of the parent trainings (no make-ups will be available) and be cleared as an M-DCPS Volunteer.

WATCH D.O.G.S. PIZZA NIGHT

This one goes out to just you Dads. Join us for our 3rd Annual Pizza Night and learn all about how you can become involved in this wonderful program where you can make a difference!

BOOSTERTHON

It's time to shake your groove thang! Not only is Boosterthon our main fundraising event of the year, but it is also a favorite with the kids. Pinecrest Elementary has teamed up with Boosterthon, a platform that invites students to ask family, friends, and local businesses to pledge funds for every exercise or activity they do while dancing at the Dance Fit Event.

From Monday, September 9th - Friday, September 20th, students are encouraged to promote their participation in Dance Fit - the epic in-school dance party, taking place on Friday, September 20th. Students earn prizes and classroom rewards along the way, based upon their funding. After the event, funds raised go directly to the school. Join us! Get involved, have fun, and help raise money for our school! Additional details below - registration is now open!

MUSIC CLUB AUDITIONS

We are looking for our musically inclined Parrots for our Advanced Orchestra, Chorus and Modern Band.

BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB

Looking for a unique way to celebrate your child's birthday? Consider enrolling them in the Birthday Book Club! They will get to select a book from the library's permanent collection for a special commemorative dedication sticker with their name on it. During their birthday month, their photo, showcasing the book they chose, will air on our WPEN Broadcast Show.
