PROTECTING YOURSELF FROM FRAUD AND COMMON SCAMS | Have you ever received calls or texts from an unknown number selling you something that seems too good to be true? What about emails or physical mail claiming or demanding payment? Or someone pretending to be one of our pastors in need of gift cards? Scam artists and fraudsters look for ways to take advantage of consumers. Nancy Juarez from the State Attorney General’s Office will be presenting information on how to protect yourself from fraud, warning signs it might be a scam, and common scams to look out for. Join her this Sunday, March 9, following the 10:00 service in the Sanctuary for this important program.

If you want to understand the experience and struggle of migrants and asylum seekers, Solito by Javier Zamora is the book for you! Written in the voice of little Javier, an unaccompanied minor journeying from his home country of El Salvador to the U.S., where his parents awaited, the book is raw, beautiful, painful, life- and heart-transforming. You won't be able to put it down! We'll read and discuss the book together as followers of Jesus and lovers of humanity. Facilitated by Revs. Jeff and Janette Miller on Sunday mornings, March 16-30, at 9:00 a.m. in Room 112. Learn more

Vacation Bible School registration begins March 3! This year’s them is True North, and it runs June 9-12 from 9:00am to noon. We will guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North! VBS is for children ages 3 (by Jan. 1 of this year and must be potty trained) through entering 6th grade. Register online at dayspring-umc.org/vbs. Email Andrea with questions or if you would like to volunteer.
