NVCT'S Volunteer Invasive Pull in Arlington Was a Huge Success
On Sunday, November 12th, we hosted a volunteer invasive species pull along the shoreline of the Potomac adjacent to Theodore Roosevelt Island. It is crucial to keep invasive plants from compromising our region's ecosystem and rich natural history, as the site will soon be a great outdoor recreation hub for Arlington.
Special thanks to Arlington Parks and Rec staff, especially Lyndell Core, for bringing out equipment and clearing a path for us to access the site. Thank you to Rosslyn BID for providing food and the Arlington Boathouse Foundation for organizing the event.
We look forward to continuing to help manage the site through future invasive pulls and cleanup events.
