Labour Day

Labor Day, observed on the first Monday in September in the United States, is a holiday dedicated to honoring the contributions of workers and the labor movement. This day often marks the end of summer and is celebrated with various activities such as parades, picnics, and recreational events. Many institutions, including Wright State University will be closed in observance of the holiday.

On-campus Housing Application - Waiting list

As many of you are aware, we are currently working through our on-campus housing waitlist for the upcoming academic year. We understand that finding suitable accommodation is a top priority, and we want to ensure that we can provide housing to as many students as possible.

If you have recently secured off-campus housing while still being on the waitlist for on-campus accommodation, we kindly ask that you cancel your on-campus housing application. By doing so, you will help us offer your spot to another student who is in need of on-campus housing.

Please make sure to cancel your application as soon as you confirm your off-campus housing arrangement to allow us to process and reassign your spot efficiently.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will assist us in managing the housing process more effectively. Should you have any questions or need assistance with your application, please contact the Housing Office at housing@wright.edu.

Full-Time Enrollment Requirements

For graduate students, full-time enrollment requires completing at least 6 credit hours each Fall and Spring Semester. Undergraduate students must complete at least 12 credit hours per term (excluding summer) as defined by immigration regulations.

Important Notes:

  • Immigration rules stipulate that no more than one online or distance education course can count towards the full-time enrollment requirement for each academic period. It is your responsibility to follow this rule, and failure to comply, as identified through routine transcript audits, can result in visa status violations. Students found in violation may face SEVIS termination and will be instructed to either leave the country or apply for reinstatement to student status. No prior warnings will be given.

  • If you need to appeal for a reduced course load, consult with a UCIE adviser and submit a completed reduced course load form.
