Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
21 February
6:30-8:00 pm
Join us for our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper hosted by the EYC, our parish youth group. We'll have the traditional pancakes, bacon, fruit, and all the tasty sides that help us to 'shrive off' the excesses of our pantry as we plan to take on the simpleness of the Lenten season. There will be pancake races, bingo, and more.

Bring in your palms from last Ash Wednesday between now and the 21st. We'll burn those palms to make the ashes for our Ash Wednesday liturgies.
Sunday School Time Change
Sunday school begins at 9:30 am.

The 20 or so minute gap between the ending of the 8:30 Mass and the start of Sunday school wasn't working well, especially for our younger students. After consulting with parents and teachers, all agreed the earlier start time would be helpful. If you have any questions, please speak with Kristen Weems, director of Catechesis program, or Father Tripp.
The 50-Day Bible Challenge: Journey with Saint John
Sunday Mornings, 9.45 am
Sunday school resumes this weekend at 9.45 am for all ages. The adult forum begins with The 50-Day Bible Challenge: the Gospel of St John. The 'challenge' is to read the entire gospel of St John over the coming 50 days, between now and Ash Wednesday. We'll discuss portions of the gospel on Sundays as well as the how the bible came to be, the uniqueness of St John's gospel, and why Scripture study is an important part of the Christian life.

There is a book that may be helpful to your study which can be purchased on Amazon (LINK) but all you really need is a bible! Join the challenge and discover a deep connection with God!

Chalice Bearers Needed
We need chalice bearers for both the 8.30 and the 11.00 Sunday Masses. No experience necessary - all high school youth and adults are welcome to serve. If you'd like to learn more, speak with our verger, Jerry Adams, or a member of the clergy. You serve as often as you'd like by signing up using the online rota for the Mass at which you'd like to serve.
