The story of Jacob and Esau is a powerful example of how favoritism can create deep divisions within a family. Isaac's preference for Esau and Rebekah's for Jacob led to deception, betrayal and lasting conflict between the brothers.

This week, we will look into the destructive nature of favoritism and the importance of nurturing relationships based on fairness and respect. We'll explore how these emotions can distort perceptions and behaviors, urging us to seek reconciliation and understanding in our own family.

Grace Marie Ward, Worship Arts Director, will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services; Bill Bouknight, Retired GMC Guest Pastor, will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services.

For those worshiping remotely, you're invited to watch our services online, on Facebook and YouTube.

Exciting Renovation

Many of you may have noticed the Chapel on the corner of Foxglen and Old Cherokee looks a bit different. We are excited to be renovating and restoring this historic building back to the beautiful Chapel it once was. Construction began two weeks ago and the plans are to be finished in the next couple of months. We had hoped to be able to salvage the stained glass from the original windows but unfortunately asbestos has made that impossible. The very large stained glass window of Jesus will remain at the back of the Chapel. Our hope is to provide a beautiful space for smaller weddings, funerals and worship services. If you have any questions about the renovation, please contact us. Click here to see a couple of elevation plans.
