FIRST ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP SUMMIT – WEDNESDAY, FEB 15, 7-9 PM
You are ALL invited! As we get ready for the annual operating budget campaign for the 2023-2024 pledge year, the Year-Round Stewardship Committee is looking to do something different this year.

We will be holding our first ever Stewardship Summit over ZOOM – and you are all invited to attend! We are looking for an influx of new ideas from the Congregation on pledging and stewardship. Our “Stewardship For Us” Consultant, Rachel Maxwell, will join us – and she promises to help us make this a fun and engaging meeting. The Stewardship Summit will help set us up for a successful pledge drive this year, and for the future.

If you are willing to help towards this important cause, please reach out to Elena or Sam so we can get you involved!

CHORAL CHAMELEON - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25 - 7:30 PM
Choral Chameleon Saturday February 25 at 730 PM tickets are $20 online or at the door
The Music Committee is excited to host Choral Chameleon - a choir of professional singers from New York. This year's program is titled "Music for Chameleons" and it is based on a short story of Truman Capote which explores the topic of communication between two groups with differing points of view. As usual, the list of composers stretches from the Renaissance to contemporary. Some of the pieces they will sing have been written by composers who have participated in the Choral Chameleon Institute for Composers. It is always a thrill to hear how the varied and compelling repertoire underlines the pertinent themes for our times. It is a group which engages, entices and inspires. Saturday, February 25th, 7:30 PM. Click HERE for tickets.
UUWRITERS: THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 16 AT 1:00 PM OR 7:00 PM
I Love Writing
To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance! - Oscar Wilde

In honor of Valentine's Day, our next theme for UUWriters is LOVE!

Sharpen your quills, pens, or laptops, and join on us on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 1:00 PM or 7:00 PM. We welcome newbie writers. We use writing prompts from packets emailed to us to kick-start our writing. The packet includes poems and songs to inspire us. Take as little as 15 minutes to write something that you'll bring to the workshop on ZOOM. We don't critique the work. We will discuss how we connected to it. For questions and the packet, contact Sari at saribodi@gmail.com

NEIGHBORING FAITH FOR ADULTS - SAUGATUCK CHURCH (UCC) STARTING FRIDAY FEB 24, 7 PM IN EAST WING
We’ve been told that Unitarian Universalists have much in common with Congregationalists (United Church of Christ, or, UCC). But how much do we really know about the beliefs and rituals of Congregationalists? The minister of that iconic white steepled church in the center of Westport, Reverend Alison Patton, has agreed to come to our intro session on Friday, Feb 24, at 7pm in the East Wing to introduce us to the faith. We invite you to join us!
The intro session will be followed by a visit on Sunday, Feb 26 and a debrief on Sunday, March 5. You are welcome to come to all or any of the sessions. Contact Ravi Sankar or Jamie Forbes.
ADULT FAITH FORMATION DISCUSSION ON AGING, DEATH AND DYING WAS POWERFUL: HERE'S THE HAND-OUT IF YOU MISSED IT
Being Mortal 1.28.23
More than 35 people joined us at the Meeting House on Saturday January 28 to discuss Atul Gawande's powerful book Being Mortal and to share insights and stories about our own experiences handling difficult situations for our loved ones and ourselves. It was a special time of sharing and learning. And if you couldn't make it, no worries: we’re sharing the hand-out HERE which has some valuable links and info. And there seemed to be appetite for a next one! Centering around a book or film can be helpful: let Jamie Forbes know what might be a good topic. And do watch the Frontline show if you haven't seen it already: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQhI3Jb7vMg

They now live with Mita’s Mom, who was grateful for presents to place under the tree. Another family with one year-old twins and a two and three year-old, asked for clothing, V-Tech toys, and Disney “Frozen” toys. The third family, with children ages 14, 13, 9, and 4, received clothing, crafts, Barbies, remote control cars, and action figures.
