Happy Labour Day and welcome to a season of big events
Recovery Informed Workplaces
There’s a lot of continued interest in the concept of Recovery Informed Workplaces — work environments that destigmatize mental health and dependency issues to support a journey of recovery.
If you missed the BCCSA’s June event in Vancouver, there’s still time to register for a second event at the Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour in Victoria on September 5th. The free session features Dr. Paul Farnan of the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University, who shares insights into ways in which workplaces can become catalysts for positive change and healing. It also includes Ian Robb, Chairman, Building Trades of Alberta, who describes the organization’s unique Building Resiliency Program, which addresses mental health, addiction and dependency challenges with workplace support. Register here right now!
For those in the Prince George area, we’re bringing the Recovery Informed Workplaces event to the Courtyard Marriott Prince George on October 2nd. Register for this event here.
If Kelowna’s closer, we’re also bringing these fascinating speakers to the Eldorado Resort for another event on November 6. Register here for the Kelowna engagement.
Can’t make it to Victoria, Prince George or Kelowna? We’ve still got you covered. You can watch a recording of the Vancouver event here!
