Communion and Transfiguration
This Sunday, March 2, 2025
Join us this first Sunday in March for the last Sunday in the liturgical season of Epiphany as we celebrate the Transfiguration of Jesus and we partake in Communion together. With special music from our choir and the marking of the singular mountaintop experience of the Gospels, this will be a busy and inspiring worship service.
Everyone is always welcome to worship and to receive Communion here at Crossroads, so please tell your friends, coworkers or neighbors who may be looking for a church home about us! We worship every week in our sanctuary at 10:00 am.

Warming Center News
With this weekend come the final, bittersweet days of operation for our Warming Center.
Over the past three months, Crossroads has become a haven in the cold for many of our core downtown unhoused and vulnerable Cantonians. And it has inspired the generosity of many people and business owners around Stark County to provide food or to give of their time to help bridge the vast gulf between those with and those without.
While the temperatures might soon be rising for Spring, the streets of downtown Canton are still home to far too many people. Through the work of Canton for All People, the Shorb Market and Community Center and our Warming Center, Crossroads is trying to live in practice what Jesus talked about in Matthew 25: 40 - "Whenever you saw a brother or sister hungry or cold, whatever you did to the least of these, so you did to Me."
Thanks to everyone who has helped make our Warming Center operational this especially cold winter season, including our partner, the City of Canton.

Sunday's Palms Are Wednesday's Ashes
This Wednesday, March 5, 2025 - 7:00 pm
Join us for the very beginning of the holy season of Lent on Ash Wednesday for the Imposition of Ashes in our sanctuary. The imposition of ashes upon our foreheads in the shape of a cross is a reminder of our mortality (“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return”) and a sign of penitence.
Did you know? Traditionally, the ashes that are used on Ash Wednesday come from burning the palms from the prior year's Palm Sunday celebration.
Mark the beginning of a holy Lent with us here at Crossroads this Ash Wednesday.

New Lenten Sermon Series Begins!
Sunday, March 9, 2025
The Gospel of Luke tells of seven meals Jesus ate with others in his travels. During these meals, Jesus preached about God’s Kingdom and revealed important things about himself.
Throughout the holy season of Lent, Pastor Don will explore these deeply meaningful stories in his new sermon series, Breaking Bread With Jesus.
Be sure to be here every Sunday in Lent to explore these Gospel stories through preaching, Scripture and music.
