City Services on MLK Jr. Day (Jan. 16)

  • Garbage and recycling pickup will proceed as usual
  • The Waste-to-Energy facility will be open
  • Spokane City Hall will be closed but My Spokane 311 employees will be available via phone and online
  • Spokane Municipal Court will be closed
  • On-street parking meters will not require payments
  • All Spokane Public Library branches will be closed
  • Spokane City Council is not scheduled to meet

Historic Site Spotlight - Riverside Park Water Reclamation

The Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility was built in 1958 and is our oldest and largest water recycling facility. It recycles ~34 million gallons of water each day, returning the clean water to the River. The RPWRF is staffed 24/7/365, and we are so thankful for the folks that keep our clean water running!

City Applies $5.1 Million To Utility Customers

Therapeutic Recreation Ski And Snowboard Instructors

Love to ski or snowboard? Help those with disabilities enjoy a day on the mountain and get discounted passes! Spokane Parks & Recreation's Therapeutic Recreation Services offers participants with physical and/or developmental disabilities winter recreational opportunities with their Adaptive Ski & Snowboard, Powderhounds, and Blue Waxers programs. Volunteer instructors are integral in helping keep the programs accessible and affordable to the participants. Winter Wonders: Skate with the Chiefs

Join us at the Numerica Skate Ribbon for a community skate night with our local Spokane Chiefs hockey team from 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17! The public will have the opportunity to skate alongside Chiefs players and their mascot Boomer, get autographs, and take pictures. Free admission and skate rentals will be gifted by Numerica Credit Union to the first 300 people along with a free slice of pizza from David's Pizza. Visit our website for additional details.

Stop by the Chase Gallery in City Hall for the Intertwined exhibit. This exhibit features artworks from Stefani Rossi, Michael Dinning, Meagan Varecha, Kimber Follevaag and Meagan Mack. The exhibit will be open through Friday, Jan. 27.
