Mission Center Dedication and Consecration to be rescheduled

"First Methodist family and Jackson friends: due to unforeseen circumstances, we are canceling the Mission Center Dedication and Consecration and rescheduling for a future date. We apologize and look forward to the future celebration!"

Don't forget to bring your new toys for the Christmas Store at Reelfoot Rural Ministries to the office area by November 28th!
Room in the Inn is up and running for the season, and we are in need of some people to help feed our guests on December 31st in our newly renovated Missions Center. Would you and some friends be able to help? Thank you to David Sweat for volunteering to stay with our guests for the night! We will need one more male to stay the night. (Cot or air mattress will be provided for you.)

To sign up, click HERE or contact Donna Hampton at 731-803-2956.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Meet Cynthia Wright! Cynthia and Luke have been members of First Methodist Downtown for years and years. They have raised their family here and are just as active as ever. You may have seen Cynthia with working with the ladies of our Prayer Shawl Ministry on Wednesdays or perhaps you even saw some of her beautiful woven pieces displayed at The Ned in a local artist's showcase recently.

Cynthia's daughter, Frances, shares, "You might not know that she also loves practical jokes. One year at Halloween, she made these really delicious chocolate cupcakes to give people. She had hidden a gummy worm in the middle of each cupcake, and she delighted in giving them to people and watching them discover her trick in the middle of the treat!"

Cynthia, we are grateful to have you at First Methodist Downtown and appreciate all that you do!
