October's Featured Rescue

Annabelle in California

Annabelle had another expensive day at the vets.

I know that Yorkshire Terrier National Rescue could sure use some donations to help with her care, Annabelle lived in horrific conditions for 14 yearsof her precious life which has left us dealing with horrible skin issues. I believe after 5 months she is finally going to be on the way to recovery. One thing I know for sure is, she is loved and safe! Hang in there girl , we will never give up. love from your foster mom, Rochelle Tracey

Then and Now - Braylee

Share your Then and Now! Include a picture of your dog when it was adopted and a current picture, include a short article letting us know how life has been for you and your rescue! We hope this will be both a fun and rewarding experience for all. Please send to: dugmore@bellsouth.net

Braylee came to me in July 2015 from YTNR. He was approximately 4 years old, newly neutered, not housebroken, and unable to jump on the sofa. He had a lot of baggage with fear of loud noises and apprehensive at doorways. His coat was thin, front legs balding due to a bout with fleas.

Braylee 7 years later, now 11. He's completely housebroken, has the run of my home, jumps like a rabbit to the sofa, and plays with his squeaky toys. He sleeps with me every night and loves to sundog in the yard.

He's still somewhat nervous of thunder and shy at doorways but he's such a good boy. He loves his Toy Poodle sister, Precious. Braylee is one happy fella and my joy.

Many thanks to YTNR.

Wisdom from supermodel Athena Maria Aphrodite the Goddess of Wisdom and Love

Athena Maria for Yorkie Times.jpg

It is with immeasurable sadness to say … my beloved Yorkie, TIFFANY, has gone to wait for me in heaven.

Tiffany loved β€œpeople” food, chasing birds and the warm California Santa Ana winds. We enjoyed our last days together at the beach, sitting on a blanket with the ocean breeze blowing on her sweet, frail body.

I love Tiffany as a child and I was filled with pure happiness when we were together.

Please keep me in your thoughts as I learn to live with out my faithful companion.

With love, Eva Ortiz
