A Note from Mrs. Bushey

Hello SRS Families!

As I reflect on the past 3 months of planning Superdraw, I am in absolute awe. I want to give a HUGE shoutout to Krystal Reagan who spearheaded bringing Superdraw back, and chaired the event together with our awesome Booster President, Jen Wilkins. It was not an easy task to run "regular life" (teaching/running a business/mom-ing), while doing the daily tasks needed in order to have an overwhelmingly successful event. All of the moving parts had a chair, and I am so very thankful for Cindy Kelly (Silent Auction), Kat Daniel (tickets), Michelle Towns and Amy Stimac (helping wherever needed at any time).

All of our teachers and many parents (too many to name) stepped up to the extras needed this past month - class projects, classroom baskets, extra help with set-up for the event, clean up and being able and ready in any way to help.

There was a lot of behind the scenes work put in by Fred Fras as he orchestrated extra help from our St. Joseph workers, Larry Maniak, and our middle school students. Thank you Fred, for being so dedicated to SRS!

Room moms- you did an incredible job with the classroom baskets! We have received so many compliments on the quality of the contents!

Superdraw Committee! Wow! The hours put in by Jen Wilkins, Kristen Crumm, and Krista Crumm is commendable. We all worked together like a well oiled machine that's been operating for years without a hitch! Thank you to Jill VanWormer, Kim Tye, Lauren Gasper, and Niki Baroski for the ideas and carry through of "all the things" - you are so appreciated!

Fr. Jon - thank you for your faith that you had in our team to "Bring Superdraw back" bigger and better than ever before!

To the parents - THANK YOU for putting up with the countless pleas to help support our school. Because of the families at St. Robert School & Parish, and our Flushing Community's donations of time, talent, & treasure, we were able to raise over $80,000 for our school! We had a lot of "evers" this Superdraw, breaking a LOT of records. It brings tears to my eyes when I think about how many people made this possible. "Thank you" doesn't even come close to describing how grateful I am for every one of you.

Congratulations to all of our Superdraw winners !
