The magazine annually recognizes outstanding individuals in the healthcare field through its prestigious list, celebrating those who exceed expectations in their professional roles and personal lives. Reaching Out to Our Community | |
Man Up, Geaux Get Screened - Tulane Urology's annual prostate cancer awareness and free screening event - took place Saturday, September 7, at East Jefferson General Hospital. The community showed up to meet their favorite New Orleans Saints greats, Louisiana legends, and learn more about prostate cancer risk factors, treatment options and the importance of early screening. The first 100 eligible men took advantage of the free, on-site PSA blood tests. Tulane Cancer Center Director Dr. Stefan Grant and his son, Sammy Grant, are pictured above with several of the Saints icons who came to lend their support to this annual community event.

To increase participation of Black men with prostate cancer in clinical trials, ACS is announcing a funding opportunity to support community oncology practices and hospitals in their efforts for clinical trial enrollment. Eligible practice-based applicants must have direct patient interaction and the capability to participate in clinical trials.
