Labor Day pays tribute to the contributions and achievements of American workers. Since 1894 it has been a day off to relax and marks the end of the summer season. Here are some Labor Day festivities to kick off your long weekend:
Flashlight Night at Desert Botanical Garden
Visit the Botanical Gardens Saturday, September 3rd from 7-9 pm to view the animal and plant life under the stars. The night includes live music, free children's book station, bracelet making, and a nighttime farmers market. Just don't forget your flashlight!
The Rodeo's in Town
This weekend come out to see the Arizona Black Rodeo! The Arizona Black Rodeo is celebrating its 11th year of bringing families together to entertain people of all ages. Get your tickets for shows at 7 pm tonight or tomorrow night.
Skate around the Rink
On Monday, September 5th from 2:30-5 pm at Skateland Chandler put on your skates at an indoor rink. Bring the whole family for a day of fun. Once you've had enough skating, you can share a pizza from the Roller Cafe or play some foosball in the arcade.
