Pittsylvania County native, Kathryn Waters, has been promoted to the title of Architect at local design firm, Solex Architecture. She began interning with Solex in the summer of 2017. In May of 2019, she graduated from NC State University with a Bachelors of Architecture and transitioned to a fulltime Design Associate. Continuing on her path of achievement, Kathryn recently completed and passed all requirements for licensure in the State of Virginia. Licensure requires passing a 6-series exam program which accesses each individual’s knowledge and skills needed for practicing architecture, a separate State of Virginia exam, and 3,740 hours of working experience comprised of the different stages of design and construction projects. She is thrilled to grow her career in the region she grew up in and is excited to continue helping the community through design.
