Coffee Clean-ups are our regular Thursday morning volunteer opportunities. We meet at various parcels around town to tackle projects ranging from litter clean-up to fence installation to trail blazing. Bring your own gloves and coffee mug. Please register here.

 

Gathering Point: Meet 9 AM at The 300 Committee's new headquarters at 13 Thomas B. Landers Road to load tools and head to the park at 9:15 AM. Latecomers can join us directly at the park at 205 Teaticket Highway.

We will explore this wildlife management area, walking the paths around the fields’ perimeters. The paths are mostly wide, but can be grassy, rocky, or sandy. Come tick and sun protected. Heavy rain will cancel; call walk leader if in doubt. No dogs please.


Parking: Meet in the parking lot where the Model Aircraft Club meets: at the end of the dirt road off Rt 151 between Hamilton Tree & Landscape's offices and the town baseball field.

Come enjoy the beauty of a moonlit walk on this slow-paced stroll to Great Sippewissett Marsh and Black Beach. Route is along a level, unpaved road. Dress for night temperatures and be prepared for mud on the path to the beach. Flashlight recommended. Come a half hour early if you want to watch the sunset. No dogs please.

Walkers will enjoy the reddening of the tupelo leaves during this easy stroll along the Moonakis River. To enhance the serenity of this beautiful parcel, we will stop to practice a few gentle Therapeutic Qigong movements that harmonize mind and body. Trail map here

Angel's Mirror Pond

A lesser-traveled offshoot of the loop around Long Pond, this trail skirts the edge of Angel’s Mirror Pond. Highlights include a grove of fir trees planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s, a vernal pool and lovely stone walls. Expect some steep inclines and declines. Heavy rain will cancel; call walk leader if in doubt. No dogs please.

 

Parking: Enter the Town Forest from Gifford Street. Proceed down Goodwill Park Road to the end and park near the playground.

Community Bike Ride

West & North Falmouth

Chapoquoit Beach & Beyond


This fun community bike ride brings cyclists on a tour of both popular and sometimes-overlooked conservation parcels. Small groups of riders will follow a guide along the bike path and back roads, visiting 14 conservation parcels along the way.

Helmets required; reflective gear recommended. Event will take place rain or shine.
