CHAMBER NEWS
We are looking forward to the upcoming Business of Excellence Gala. It is a great chance to celebrate the accomplishments of one another over the past year and to kick off the holiday season!

We received numerous nominations this year and the judges had the tough decision to choose the top nominees in each category. The winners will be announced at Gala.

The Chamber is scheduling a variety of sessions and mixers starting in the new year and will be sharing that schedule soon so you can mark the ones in your calendar that interest you.

C&B Corner Cafe
What started as half of a joke - “maybe we should just open a little cafe” - quickly evolved into reality in the spring of 2020.
The start of the covid pandemic had thwarted Toni’s travelling plans (in fact, she rushed home from living in Malta that spring), Karen’s travelling, and Megan’s plans with a precious work team to open a bistro in Avonlea village. We all have such diverse backgrounds (biology, graphic design, fine dining) that we knew a cafe would be a challenge, but we were up for the task!
It was easy to identify what was missing in Kensington - a cozy spot for people to work or catch up with friends, and an elevated breakfast experience. We rolled with that vision and have since expanded into higher-end home catering, private event hosting and fun evening events like trivia and supper clubs!
Our specialty is homemade bagels and iced coffee, but we love branching out and doing a bit of everything. The amazing customers and people of Kensington’s support allows us to be creative and have fun every day!
Check out their Facebook page for their hours and daily specials!
