The Open Circle

(In Person & Zoom)

Our values call us to live in the reality of the heartbreak of our world, remembering that: “No one is outside the circle of love.” How can we keep the circle and our hearts open when we may wish to 'close ranks'? Whom, or what, do we trust when the winds of change shift?

Minister: Rev. Ben Meyers

Worship Associate: Carolyn Johnson-Gutter

2025-26 Pledge Drive: UPDATE

The Stewardship Committee is pleased to report that 43 families have pledged a total of $112,420. We are closing in on our goal of $148,000! Thank you to all pledgers! There are 30+ families who have not yet made their commitment known. If you happen to be in this group, the hardworking Committee asks you to go to the UUFSCC website, click on Donate/Pledge and take a few minutes to complete your pledge. Or, you may complete a pledge form after next Sunday's service. Remember, you can donate out of your IRA and gain a little tax relief. A Committee Member can coach you on that process. If you are unable to pledge this year, please let the Committee know so that they take you off their call list.

We Can Help Immigrants Retain Their Parental Rights!

Sunday, March23, 2025 - After the Service

WE CAN HELP VULNERABLE IMMIGRANTS

RETAIN THEIR PARENTAL RIGHTS!

Our Fellowship is walking the walk by learning how to help the most vulnerable among us to exercise their parental rights regarding their children's welfare and care, in the event of child separation.

Please join us for a training this coming Sunday, March 23 for about 1-1.5 hours to learn more. Please go to the front of the lunch line and bring your lucn intot he sanctuary so we can get started and not stay too long.

CHILD SAFETY PLANS is the name of the paperwork parents fill out to exercise their power and make their own decisions regarding the care of their children. We cannot allow the State or the foster system to make those decisions for them. We'll train you regarding these forms and how to assist parents. If you choose to, after being trained, you can join a dispatch to assist and empower parents in the horrific event of child separation .

Contact Teri Wiss, Patty Bernstein or Peg Galli to reserve your space (this will help us with number of copies needed). If you decide to come, spur of the moment, that's ok too. Bilingual Spanish is not required.

Shared Plate recipient for the month of March:

Campesina Womb Justice

Our Justice Team has selected Campesina Womb Justice as our Shared Plate recipient for the month of March. 50% of donations our Fellowship collects this month will go toward their important work.

The goal of Campesina Womb Justice is to build a fair and equitable society for all women, regardless of their background or circumstances. Campesina Womb Justice was started in 2020 by Maria Ramos, a certified nurse midwife, initially bringing womb care kits, Personal Protective Equipment, and herbal medicines to farm workers. They are working to build a campesina-led, self-sustaining Indigenous community that practices Indigenous medicines and promotes reproductive health.

  • Recognition of common roles we play in political conversations
  • Strategies and skills for constructively handling differences in political viewpoint
