MORE FABULOUS FAITH FORMATION UPDATES
We are pleased to share the news that our High School Youth Group was awarded a $2K grant from the Lauren Dunne Astley Memorial Fund to support their Appalachia Service Project trip in April. Lauren was a vibrant and talented 18 year old high school graduate who died July 3, 2011 at the hands off her former boyfriend, a victim of the disturbing trend of break-up violence. She was active in community service projects with her UU congregation in Wayland MA - including service trips to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Receiving this grant is a wonderful way to honor her memory while also enabling our own teens to learn and serve.

The Witness Stones Project Middle School Learning Journey to Washington DC last weekend was fantastic! We participated in an intensive service project at a foodbank warehouse, visited the African American Museum of History and Culture, and saw several monuments along the Washington mall.
